Community Relations Plans

Spills or releases that may impact a community, require initial and continuing communications and interactions with the surrounding community. QEPA can assist your company in identifying overlooked local knowledge, streamline efforts, and gain community acceptance. QEPA can assist you in getting community feedback on proposed company activities related to chemical assessment and possible media remediation. This would include:

Providing opportunities for the public to be in the process early

Creating partnerships with all community groups early

Some techniques that QEPA uses to develop community involvement include, Face to face interviews with community members, small group meetings, focus group meetings, public meetings, public availability sessions, Community advisory groups, cooperative work groups, public notices, and workshops.
